This is the second week of the Fall 2018 One Room Challenge Guest Participants and it’s now time for a little update on the progress of this 6 weeks makeover! In case you don’t know what the ORC is, you can visit Linda’s blog and if you missed week 1 you can catch up right here.
As I previously said, it’s going to be a little, or better a quick update. Because as I explained last week, this project is abroad, which means that until now I had to supervise everything remotely. But good news, I will be in Brussels for the weekend, so I will finally be able to have a look at the progress of work from closer and discuss the plan for the following weeks.
So this first week was all about removing everything that was in the kitchen and bathroom to start from scratch. And mission accomplished, I couldn’t be happier with all that has been done! No more kitchen, only a few tiles left on the walls that should be gone soon, the small shower has been removed… so yes, almost everything is gone! And here are some pictures that I received so you can have a look too.
I don’t know if you noticed that the opening on the wall wasn’t in the middle and it looked a bit awkward. So we made it slightly bigger to center it and also bring a bit more light inside the bathroom.
Now, the plan for the next week is to have the plastering done, put the mouldings on and to also enlarge the shower. I hope to be back next week with prettier things to share, and in the meantime don’t forget to have a look at the other projects of the ORC and the ORC Guest Participants.
